The Author
A writer drawn to the border between sanity and myth, between what can be proved and what can only be lived.
Alaa-Eddine El Bihel is a Moroccan author of literary speculative fiction — work that occupies the uneasy territory where the psychological and the supernatural cannot be cleanly distinguished. His fiction is dense, formally precise, and philosophically restless.
His published works include the short story Moorish God, a lyrical exploration of ancestral belief and modern grief set in the mountains of North Africa; the novella Nightmares Apart, a psychological fiction set between guilt, grief, and the uncertain boundary between dreaming and waking; and the collection Impossible Truths, which brings together five stories exploring ontological ambiguity, unreliable narration, and the dissolution of identity under impossible weight.
